SASIG is proud to present our Thought Leadership Summit at the Cyber OSPAs. As we look back over the last 12 months and contemplate the year ahead, we used this opportunity to brief ourselves and plan for our most pressing priorities, as well as gain invaluable insight into other fascinating developments within cybersecurity.
Lord Toby Harris opened the summit with his briefing on how we can prepare for a major crisis. Stuart Frost BEM and other senior leaders debated why the security community can be perceived as business ‘blockers’, and what we can do for senior leadership to take security more seriously. Dr Emma Boakes also joined us to present her ground-breaking research on a convergent cyber/physical security approach.
Stress and burnout hit us all and can be detrimental, and Eleanor Dallaway ran a frank and open discussion about mental health and identifying when we are struggling. The summit then closed with an in-depth look at romance fraud and why it’s on the rise. Anna Rowe of Catch the Catfish joins Cecilie Fjellhøy of action:reaction and star of the Netflix Series The Tinder Swindler.
