In association with
SASIG is determined to embrace all regions of the UK within its schedule of events, to ensure that as many cybersecurity professionals as possible can participate and network. We were delighted to be hosted by Coventry University at their new campus in Scarborough, North Yorkshire for our first (hopefully of many) North East SASIG.
Launched in 2015, CU Scarborough is a Higher Education institute owned and governed by Coventry University, offering a diverse range of subjects up to Degree level including cybersecurity.
We explored various aspects of cybersecurity, including support available for SMEs, talent recruitment, workplace inclusivity, cryptocurrency implications for businesses, and enhancing cyber resilience for small businesses. We were also joined by the North East Business Resilience Centre, and they explained their work, how they can support organisations in the North East, and gave a live hacking demonstration.
