About this session
Most organisations still treat incident response readiness as an annual event: one large tabletop exercise, months in the planning, tested once, and then left to gather dust. But threats move faster than that cadence allows, and regulations like NIS2 and DORA now expect evidence of ongoing preparedness, not a single yearly checkbox.
This shifting landscape makes the case for micro tabletops: short, frequent, scenario-specific exercises that fit into a team’s existing workflow rather than clearing a full day on the calendar. We’ll cover how running smaller exercises more often builds sharper muscle memory, extends practice beyond the security team to legal, communications, and executive stakeholders, and gives organisations a continuously current view of where their response plans actually hold up and where they don’t.
