About this session

As a result of their increasing use and accessibility, social networks provide the perfect platform for cyberbullying. And yet, many people who fall victim to cyberbullying don’t realise that it is actually a crime.

They also don’t realise that there are specific laws designed to protect victims of cyberbullying from distress and from actions being taken against them. As such, it is important everyone – whether at home on social media or at work – knows how to prevent cyberbullying, what to do if they (or their friend, families or colleagues) are targeted, and what support is available.

Furthermore, employers need to be made aware of their responsibilities when it comes to dealing with cases of harassment in the workplace.

Watch now for a discussion on why cyberbullying is much more than mischief as our panel of experts:

• Define cyberbullying and look at the different forms it can take
• Discuss how legislation has come into play
• Show you how employees can respond to perpetrators
• Give you tips and tricks on how to stop it in your workplace and at home
• Look at some of the latest statistics and research around cyberbullying both within schools and the workplace
• Explain how to report cyberbullying and what support is available
