About this session

Being responsible for your organisation’s information security can be painful. Your many, varied, and increasingly complex challenges continually cause you pain. Pain from phishing attacks, pain dealing with GDPR fatigue, and pain from the seemingly endless stream of emerging threats. Not forgetting the brave, new Covid-impacted world where priorities have changed, budgets cut, projects put on hold, and you find yourself having to reassess your entire security strategy.

Ultimately, your professional pain can manifest itself in data loss, breaches and financial penalties. No wonder you may throw your hands up and shout ‘where do I begin?’ Especially where the remedies rely on changing your employees’ behaviour and sustaining resilience in your organisation’s culture – no easy task.

This panel discussion seeks to explore three critical facets of finding those remedies:

  1. Establishing how your ‘pains’ are changing, not only as a result of Covid-19, but also as cybercriminals become ever-resourceful and technically advanced in their methods.
  2. Determining what the behavioural and cultural change approaches to take to minimise your organisation’s security ‘pains’ and the damage they can wreak are.
  3. Exploring how – whatever your plan – you ensure you take employees, the board and other stakeholders with you.
